This five-part interactive video project explores the powerful influence social media has on our daily lives by placing you at the centre of a series of choices. As you go through various scenarios, you are given the opportunity to choose between behaviours that either improve your wellbeing or push you further into unhealthy habits, such as losing track of time, constantly scrolling, or comparing yourself/ your life to others. Your experience is shaped by every choice you make, demonstrating how seemingly small daily decisions may develop into more significant patterns that impact your mood, output, and self-worth.

Setting your phone aside to go on a stroll, chat with a friend or concentrate on being present and deliberate (which people forget to do most of the time), are a few methods to avoid the negativity brought on by social media. However, constantly responding to these notifications, or late-night browsing, shows how easily social media may interfere with sleep, raise stress levels, and minimise in-person interactions. This project aims to increase awareness and promote reflection rather than to shame or place blame. By actively engaging, you start to identify your own behaviours and realise that you oversee how you use social media and how it eventually affects your daily life.
